PCR Test, Antigen Test, and Antibody Test

PCR test is the abbreviation of Polymerase Chain Reaction (Polymerase Chain Reaction), which can check whether the virus is currently in the body (whether it has been infected) and amplify a small number of DNA fragments. The fluorescent dye is used to detect the total amount of products after each PCR cycle to determine whether the suspected case contains virus genes.

How to use PhoenixSun COVID-19 Antigen Test Kit?

Wash your hand, or sanitize your hand using alcohol-based hand sanitizer when necessary. Carry out this test in a dust-free environment under room temperature (15-30 °C). Pick out the pouch that contains the testing kits and place it on a clean, flat surface.

Step 1: Insert the swab 2 centimeters into one of the nostrils. Rotate the swab 5 times (15 seconds) to collect the specimen.
Step 2: Use the same swab to collect specimen from the other nostril following the same step as above.

Dip the swab after collecting the sample into the sampling tube. Rotate the swab 10 – 20 times. Wait for 1 minute, squeeze the sampling tube, then remove the swab from the sampling tube.

Pick out the testing kits from the plastic pouch. Unseal the Aluminum pouch, and place the test cassette on a horizontal surface.

Remove the dropper tip from sampling tube; unseal the sample treatment solution; then pour all the sample treatment solution into the sampling tube.

Refrain from touching the dropper tip to avoid contamination of the sample.

Add 5 drops (70-80µl) of sample extract vertically into the sample well (Marked with the ^ sign).  Do not move the test cassette after the sample extract is added.

Reaction and judgment

After 20 minutes, pink colored bands appear at the “Control Region” or at the “Test Band.” Depending on the presence of the pink colored band, you will learn whether the result is “Positive” or “Negative”. Please refer to “Result Interpretation” to find out more. The result is valid within 30 minutes. Results read after 30 minutes are invalid.

Positive

Both the detection line (T line) and the quality control line (C line) are visible.

Negative

Only the quality control line (C line) is visible. The detection line (T line) does not appear.

Precautions for use

  • Store the kit on a horizontal surface under room temperature (15-30 °C）.

  • Complete the test within 1 hour after opening. While collecting specimens, please ensure that you rotate the swab inside your nostril at least 5 times.

  • Make the swab moist to ensure quality specimen is collected.

  • Do not move the Test Cassette after the test is started.

  • Do not read the test result after 30 min.

  • For good results, please complete the test within 1 hour after opening.

  • Please read the instruction carefully before using this product.

  • Please use this testing kit properly and at your own risk.

  • This testing kit and its contents are for experimental use and are not medical equipment.

  • This testing kit is not an “In Vitro Diagnostic device” defined under the “Act on Securing Quality, Efficacy, and Safety of Products Including Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices”.
